Accessibility statement

Accessibility matters
to us.

Beyond Limits Academy is committed to making our website, information and driving services as accessible as reasonably possible for the people who use them.

Accessibility informationBeyond Limits Academy

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

We aim to improve accessibility across our website, communication and service delivery.

01 / OUR COMMITMENT

Our commitment to accessibility

Beyond Limits Academy (“BLA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) aims to provide information and services in a way that is respectful, practical and inclusive.

We recognise that accessibility needs vary from person to person. We therefore aim to make reasonable adjustments to communication, booking and service delivery where this is practical, safe and appropriate.

Our approach: If you encounter a barrier when using our website or services, please tell us. We would rather know about the problem so we can work with you on a suitable alternative.
02 / OUR WEBSITE

Website accessibility

We aim to design and maintain our website so that it can be used by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology. Our website design aims to support:

Clear structure

Clear headings, logical page structure and readable text with strong colour contrast.

Easier navigation

Keyboard-friendly navigation where possible, with meaningful links and clearly labelled controls.

03 / OUR SERVICES

Accessibility in our driving services

Accessibility for BLA is not limited to the website. Our services include mainstream, rehabilitation and adaptive driver training, and we understand that participants may have different physical, sensory, cognitive, communication or learning needs.

Where appropriate and safe, we may adjust elements of service delivery such as:

  • The pace and structure of instruction
  • The way information is explained or demonstrated
  • The amount of repetition and practice provided
  • Lesson scheduling and breaks
  • Communication with a support person or relevant professional
  • Vehicle or adaptive equipment arrangements following appropriate assessment and recommendation
04 / COMMUNICATION

Communication support

If you have a communication preference or need additional support to understand information, please tell us when making an enquiry or booking.

If you have a communication preference or need extra support to understand information, let us know when making an enquiry or booking. Where practical, BLA can adjust how information is provided, allow more time for explanations, involve an authorised support person or professional, and break instructions into smaller, clearer steps.

05 / INFORMATION FORMATS

Alternative formats

If information on our website or in a BLA document is difficult to access, contact us and let us know what format would work better for you. Where reasonably possible, we can provide information in a different digital format, a simpler written format, or another practical alternative. If the document is controlled by another organisation, we may direct you to them or help you find another way to access the information.

06 / SUPPORT PEOPLE

Support people and authorised representatives

Participants may involve an authorised family member, carer, guardian, Support Coordinator, Occupational Therapist or another support person where appropriate. BLA will respect the participant’s privacy and independence, and will only share personal information where suitable consent, authority or legal requirements allow it.

07 / CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Known limitations and ongoing improvement

We aim to make our website and services as accessible as possible, but some limitations may remain due to older documents, third-party systems, external websites or technical features outside our control. Accessibility is an ongoing process, so as our website and services change, we will continue reviewing and improving areas where barriers are identified.

08 / EXTERNAL SERVICES

Third-party platforms and websites

Our website may link to external services such as government websites, funding schemes, social media platforms, booking systems or other third-party tools. BLA does not control the accessibility of those external services. If a third-party platform prevents you from accessing an important part of a BLA service, please let us know and we will help where reasonably possible.

09 / FEEDBACK

Accessibility feedback

Your feedback helps us understand where accessibility barriers still exist. If you have difficulty using our website, accessing information, making a referral or communicating with our team, please let us know what caused the problem and what adjustment or alternative would help. Where reasonably possible, we will work to provide a suitable solution and improve the issue.
